If Hit the Road Dude AI does not advance to a new take, first identify the stage shown on screen. A missing reference, a credit shortfall, a safety-service error and a running video are different situations. This guide helps you choose the next step without accidentally starting or paying for a duplicate.

The creator says a reference is missing or invalid

Select one clear main character reference, then confirm the rights and processing notice. Use your own fictional character artwork or an authorized adult reference as visual inspiration for a new fictional character. Real-person impersonation, face swapping and copied voices are not supported uses.

Use JPG, PNG or WebP and keep each selected file below 10 MB, with both sides at least 300 pixels. If you choose a custom location, supply its separate location image or switch back to the classic setting. Extra subject references should describe the same character, with no more than three extra references.

There are fewer than 100 available credits

A standard take requires 100 available credits. Credits reserved by an existing task are not available for a second one. Open My videos & credits to see the wallet and the task states, or compare a pack if you need more attempts.

If you already purchased, restore that wallet before buying again. Try the same browser, your private recovery file/code or the Google account linked to the wallet. Clearing all site data can also remove the device credential, so keep the recovery file independently.

Availability or checkout checks do not finish

Check the current message instead of repeatedly clicking a disabled control. A temporary network error should offer a retry. If the payment channel is not available, prepare your draft and check again later; the site does not accept a generation before its required availability checks pass.

Returning from secure checkout should let you continue editing or check the existing payment. Refreshing a status page does not create a new checkout. A checkout redirect event is not proof that a payment succeeded; credits appear only after server verification.

Prompt or image checks stop the submission

A policy block asks you to revise the request into an allowed fictional, harmless scene. A temporary safety-service outage asks you to retain the draft and retry later. Both stop the video submission. Do not try another entry point to evade a safety decision.

An expired or unreadable uploaded reference may need to be selected and uploaded again. If a take has a confirmed failed status, its reserved credits are returned. Review the status and available balance before deciding whether to submit a new attempt.

The response was interrupted or the take is still running

Use Check this request or My private videos to look up the existing request. A lost browser response does not establish that the provider rejected it. The saved request key allows the site to find the same submission, while the server prevents that key from creating a second paid take.

A queued or processing task may continue when the tab is closed. Submission is being checked means the provider response is uncertain; keep that task reference and contact support rather than starting a duplicate. Generation and review have no fixed completion-time promise.

The provider finished but there is no download yet

Content review is a separate stage. Generated output remains private until an operator reviews and releases it. Approval makes the private player and download available; rejection returns the reservation. A task that is still in review should not expose an unreviewed customer file.

For an approved take, check the displayed download deadline. Current approved downloads last seven days from approval. If the file has expired, contact support about the specific billing or delivery issue instead of assuming a new purchase will recover the old file. Review the whole video with sound before sharing it.
